This blog saves information into your browser's local storage. The information is ephemeral: I don't collect it. It doesn't sync between devices. When you clear your browser cache this information disappears. I've made the blog save this information for a few reasons:
- With the idea that I might be able to tailor the reading experience in useful and delightful ways if this information is available in the browser.
- For people who are interested in how they've interacted with this site.
- To showcase how much information a browser can store about you, which often DOES go to internet companies. (I'm looking at you, Facebook and Google!)
You've only just arrived, so there's almost nothing here yet — which is rather the point. Most sites would already have built a profile on you by now. This one hasn't, and won't. Come back a few times and this page will start to remember your visits — but only here, in this browser.

Forget everything
This erases everything above — your visit history, which articles you've viewed, your theme, and your display preferences (text size, spacing, colours). It returns this browser to the state of a first-time visitor. It cannot be undone, and it only affects this browser.
Done — this browser has forgotten everything.
